NameScore Relaunch: A Fresh Start for Our Name Evaluation Service

A lot has been happening at NameRobot lately.

We’ve been working on updating and improving several of our naming tools - both technically and in terms of user experience.
One of the first services we focused on was NameScore.io, our independent platform for evaluating brand and business names.

The goal was clear: make the service faster, simpler, and more intuitive to use.
Now, NameScore.io is back with a completely redesigned interface and an improved user flow that makes name evaluation easier than ever.

Step 1: Redesigning and Clarifying the Website

The previous NameScore.io website had become outdated over time.
Its structure and copy no longer reflected how users expect to interact with modern online tools.

We started with a complete redesign:

  • A new, clean layout with an improved navigation structure.

  • An expanded FAQ section that answers real questions from users.

  • A refreshed tone of voice, making the value and purpose of the tool immediately clear.

The result: visitors now understand within seconds what NameScore.io is and how it helps them evaluate their names.

Step 2: Simplifying the Evaluation Process

The old evaluation process included too many steps and options.
That made it harder for users to reach their goal quickly.

We streamlined the entire flow into three simple steps:
Enter name -> Choose category -> Get your score.

This focused approach makes the process faster, clearer, and more user-friendly.
It also allows us to build dedicated landing pages and marketing campaigns around specific use cases in the future.

Step 3: Improving the User Experience

We also reworked the experience after login to make it smoother and more intuitive.

  • Added Apple Login and rebuilt Google Login for faster access.

  • Simplified the dashboard layout and rewrote the copy based on insights from Hook by Nir Eyal.

The goal was to help users instantly understand how to view and interpret their name evaluation results - with less distraction and more clarity.

The Results

Since the relaunch, NameScore.io has seen a noticeable increase in activity and new signups.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, especially about the new design and streamlined process.

Without adding new features or running ads, the improved usability alone led to more engagement and a higher number of daily registrations.

This shows how much can be achieved through focused improvements in design, wording, and user experience.

What’s Next

NameScore.io is just the beginning.
Next, we’re turning our attention to the Naming Toolbox, another core product in the NameRobot ecosystem.
It will receive a similar overhaul to improve its functionality, interface, and overall usability.

Our approach stays the same: continuous, focused improvements that make every part of the NameRobot platform better for our users.

Conclusion

The relaunch of NameScore.io marks an important step in our mission to make name creation and evaluation as easy and accessible as possible.
By focusing on simplicity, clarity, and user needs, we’ve given this established service a fresh new start.

We’re excited to see how users are responding and to continue improving the NameRobot suite step by step.
